Brother Valiant, Alternative-Folk project of New York based Indie singer-songwriter AJ Amsterdam, has released “C’est La Vie”, the leading single of his newly released EP Better Luck Next Time. The single comes as his first release since the 2021 single “Last Words”.
The dreamy indie track creates a melancholy filled scene that pulls at the heartstrings. This cry of love speaks of the very real challenge of loving someone while knowing that there are parts of yourself that you’ll never be able to change for them. As the song comes to a close we hear a layered repetition of the chorus “love you forever more”, which further emphasises the want for the person that you love to you in spite of all the things you can’t change about yourself.
Dreamy instrumentation paired with Brother Valiant’s earnest and raw vocals make for a captivating listening experience.
