I might be a little late to the party but a couple of weeks ago, London-based Indie singer-songwriter Scout dropped her latest single “Where’s My Mind”, it’s a dreamy Guitar Pop anthem about losing your mind and not being able to think straight that’s reminiscent of a Japanese House track.
The dreamy quality of the song reflects the theme of the lyrics which are built around the hook “Oh no where’s my mind/ I think I’m actually fine”. The song seems to comment on realising a change in thought patterns (or general lack thereof) and making peace with it.
Although lyrically quite mellow and dreamy, it’s still quite a positive and upbeat song which can be heard through the guitar melody which still aligns very much with more of an Indie-Pop vibe.
If this sounds like something that’s for you I’d recommend checking it out
