Bright Future is the 6th solo album from American musician, Adrianne Lenker. It is her first release since ‘songs’ in 2020, and she has come back to once again reduce me to tears from the outset.
The album starts with the soft acoustic ‘Real House’ which is a 6 minute reminiscence of moments from her childhood, which is probably one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. It invokes a deep rooted sense of melancholic nostalgia.
The rest of the album continues with this soft nostalgic folk vibe dealing with themes of love, heartache, and growing up.
