Everyone's favourite German Indie Rock band NEEVE are back at it again with their most recent single PALM OF MY HAND, released back on January 5th.
I first discovered this band back in 2021 with FALLING FOR YOU from their EP WHERE I WANNA BE FOUND and I've been a close follower of their music since. Since then they've been busy, releasing their debut album chaos of my mind in 2022 and several singles in 2023 (which I hope are leading to another album), the latest of which being PALM OF MY HAND.
The group, made up of brothers Felix and Axel, and their cousins Marius and Philipp, regularly make social media content self-describing their music as a mix of 80s new wave, synth-pop, early 2000s brit pop, and mid-west indie, and comparing themselves to the likes of The 1975, The Neighbourhood, Depeche Mode, and The Cure.
PALM OF MY HAND deals with feelings of losing control which we can hear in the chorus :
"Cause I'm moving, waiting, blaming, craving/
I hate it
I hate it
it slips
from the palm of my hand"
I think this song is a perfect synthy dance tune, and as with most NEEVE tracks I've been playing it on loop for the past couple of weeks!
Go and check out this song and the rest of NEEVE's incredible discography!
